Shelby Bloom is no sporting superstar, whizz kid or social butterfly. But she is funny - at least she thinks she is - so she decides she'll be the funny girl, the one who wins friends by keeping them in stitches.
Shelby could use a laugh. She's starting at a new school, and everything she does falls flat. Shelby doesn't fit with the fashionistas, the burping boys or the pop star wannabes. Will she find some friends who love a good laugh like she does, or will all of her jokes fall flat?
