Crime and Detection: The War Against Drugs

No greater threat is faced by America today than that posed by illicit drugs - and this despite the well-publicized menace of international terrorism. For however fearful the murder and destruction our terrorits enemies may bring, they come as an external threat against which American society may arm itself. Drugs, however, corrode society from within. In many of our cities, whole neighbourhoods have already been utterly demoralized by drugs, transformed into lost places of criminality and despair.
