Inventions in Communication

In only 130 years, we've gone from Alexander Graham Bell's telephone to tiny mobiles that can take pictures, access the Internet and even host a video conversation!
Without the telephone...where would we be?
Good question! On the plus side, there wouldn't be any crazy ringtones, but we also wouldn't have information at our fingertips, or be able to call our friends at any time, in any place.
